1st Nebraska Volunteers Brass Band

The 1st Nebraska Volunteers Brass Band is a 15-member musical ensemble providing living history, education, and musical entertainment for the citizens of Nebraska and surrounding areas. The group portrays the band of the original 1st Nebraska Volunteer Infantry Regiment of 1861-1862. 1st Nebraska wears Union infantry uniforms and plays authentic musical arrangements taken from actual Civil War band books.

Special Presentation: "Lincoln's Balloon Spies" by Terry Lowe

Terry Lowe will be presenting about his great-great-grandfather's brother,Thaddeus S.C.Lowe, who was appointed by President Lincoln as the Chief Aeronaut of the Balloon Corps during the Civil War. Two large exhibits of Mr. Lowe's artifacts will be on display all weekend.

We are a nonprofit museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Civil War, it’s impact during and after the war, and related organizations that were created as a result of the war. 

Admission

Adults: $3

Children: $1

Children under 12 years of age free

We have a wheelchair, walker, stroller accessible ramp located on the east side of the building. 

We accept cash, or credit card.
